The program's mission is to capture seasonal and inter-annual (between years, or from one year to the next) changes in trace gas concentrations throughout the boundary layer and free troposphere (up to 8,000 m/26,000 ft).

This cell allows for the linear velocity of target cells to be lower than in a conventional “1D” hydrodynamic focusing flow-cells typically used in cytometry at similar volumetric flow rates.
It also allows cells to be imaged at the full frame rate of the webcam.
